No Offer Description The PatCorg project, coordinated by Dr. Alessandra Pierani, was selected in the ERC Synergy call. This ambitious project brings together 4 academic partners with the objective of advancing the development of a physiologically relevant human brain organoid model that more accurately recapitulates early cortical development, enabling the investigation of neuronal migration disorders and the functional organization of human neural circuits. The PatCorg project is recruiting a project manager to implement and coordinate an ERC Synergy project. The project manager must have an overall vision of the project and interact with all partners. They will be responsible for organising the governance instances necessary for successful execution and will supervise the organisational, scientific, administrative, and financial deployment of the project, ensuring proper monitoring. Missions and Functions Under the responsibility of the scientific and technical coordinator of the project, the project manager will be in charge of: – Project coordination and overall monitoring: Organise and drive, alongside the scientific coordinator, the actions necessary for the smooth running of the project and support work‑package leaders and partner representatives in the execution of their contributions; Ensure compliance with the timeline and adjust it if needed, depending on actual progress; Ensure proper coordination between scientific leaders and act as the point of contact for the academic partners for all questions, including management‑related ones, and the European commission; Monitor the overall progress of the project (work‑packages, tasks, deliverables, and milestones); Ensure the preparation of scientific and financial reports and the quality of documents submitted to the funder; Regularly report to the project administrator via dashboards and management tools; Alert the scientific coordinator and the Grant Office manager of any execution difficulties; Act as the funder’s point of contact for all project‑related questions. – Coordination of governance instances: Prepare agendas and write minutes; Ensure follow‑up on agreed actions. – Coordination of the legal framework: Participate in drafting the grant agreement, consortium agreement, and redistribution agreements related to the funding obtained, in collaboration with the legal departments involved. – Budget and HR monitoring (in collaboration with the finance and HR departments): Monitor EU funding allocated to partners; Update the project’s forecast budget; Coordinate and monitor financial reporting; Monitor receipt and allocation of funds by expenditure type; Monitor recruitments carried out by the Partners for the project. – Coordination of communication activities (with the Communication Departments of partner institutes): Organise public seminars and scientific symposiums; Create content and update a dedicated project website and partner‑specific pages. – Participation in regulatory procedures for the project if necessary. Skills Fluent in spoken and written English Excellent writing skills Proficiency with office software tools Experience in managing multi‑partner research projects Knowledge of the research organisation in France and the ERC programme Network coordination Qualities Rigor, organisation, autonomy, and versatility Team spirit and service‑oriented mindset Analytical and synthesis abilities, and the ability to propose solutions Ability to work in a complex and demanding environment Degree and Experience PhD in sciences Previous experience in project management is appreciated Position Details Salary based on profile and experience Application Procedure Interested candidates should send 1) a complete CV, 2) a motivation letter, and 3) contact information for one or two references to Dr. Alessandra Pierani (alessandra.pierani@inserm.fr).
