Working language: English (B2 minimum - C1 ideally). About PolicyMate PolicyMate is building AI for public affairs—how businesses and organisations track and influence government decisions. We’re looking for a rockstar engineer to join our team. Reporting directly to our CTO, Grégoire, you’ll help build, refine, and maintain core features and work with the full team at the cutting-edge of AI. We’re early-stage: we move fast and learn fast. You’ll be encouraged to experiment and build, to try stuff, figure out what works, and run with it. As a team, we’re at our happiest when we’re building and solving problems. If that sounds like you, then reach out What you’ll do Develop and maintain a TALL stack app (Tailwind 4, Alpine.js, Laravel 12, Livewire 3) with eloquent, queues/jobs/events, caching, etc. Integrate external services using Saloon; build ETL-style workflows and AI-powered automations. Write pragmatic tests with Pest 4; keep code clean, typed, and documented. Collaborate with the CTO to translate product requirements into well-designed technical solutions. Participate in a tight release loop: small PRs, fast feedback, visible impact. Who you are Currently a graduate engineering student or similar in its last year of studies. Comfort with asynchronous collaboration and startup pace. Excellent at independent thinking and problem solving. Reliable and communicative; you meet deadlines. Excited to help out wherever needed. Clean-code discipline and clear communication of trade-offs. Strong proficiency in English. Nice-to-haves Knowledge of web-development in general. Open-source contributions or visible community involvement. Knowledge of Laravel architecture: queues, testing, and third-party integration preferred. Familiarity with web-crawling, and data classification. Use AI-powered coding tools. Bonus: an interest in politics and legislative developments. Note: Depending on your interests, we can adapt the internship. In particular, on anything touching data engineering at large.
