OverviewAutomation Engineer Control Design (x|f|m) – On-site at Sartorius. Based at our headquarters in Göttingen or at our site in Pompey, France. You will design and validate advanced control concepts for our next-generation chromatography platforms. Develop innovative strategies and verify them through Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will transform ideas into high-performing solutions with seamless integration across chromatography systems and downstream portfolio. You may also contribute ideas in emerging areas such as digital twin technology and machine learning.ResponsibilitiesDesign, configure, and test control concepts for chromatography units, working with Bioprocess Engineers to optimize performance of chromatography systemsImplement control logic using Matlab|SimulinkBuild and execute Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing setups to validate control logic, simulate process conditions, and ensure reliable system behavior before site commissioningCollaborate with process engineers, hardware engineers, and test management to ensure alignment between automation, hardware, and process requirementsParticipate in technical reviews to define automation and control requirementsCollaborate with stakeholders in R&D, automation, and data analyticsContribute to continuous improvement of simulation tools and testing methodologiesWhat Will Convince UsMaster’s degree in Control Engineering, Automation, Informatics or related field.
