Ground Segment Architect (F/H) Company: Exotrail Location: Cornebarrieu, Occitanie, France Overview Exotrail is looking for a Ground Segment Architect for its space vehicle dedicated to in‑orbit rendezvous missions. The main role is to define and oversee the development of the ground segment associated with rendezvous mission. Responsibilities Help define the concept of operations of the in‑orbit rendezvous complete system. Define all needs at ground system level to enable the execution of the concept of operations, together with stakeholders (operations, system, IVV – Integration, Verification, Validation). Define the ground segment architecture needed for in‑orbit rendezvous (flight‑dynamics system needs, operations, etc.). Drive trade‑offs on software solutions. Lead qualification of the ground segment. Participate in the design of the ground segment and needed evolutions for a rendezvous mission. Specify and follow the requirements associated with the ground segment. Specify and follow integration, verification and validation associated with the ground segment, and end‑to‑end testing including the satellite. Follow the development of the mission from inception to end‑of‑life. Qualifications and Preferred Experience Must have already worked on ground segment definition and design for satellite projects. Must have experience in project management related to ground segment development. Must have worked on software projects related to ground segment. Shall have already worked on LEO satellites performing proximity operations. Shall have seen several phases of the project (design, assembly, test, operations). Shall have experience as a systems engineer managing technical requirements and spacecraft operations in LEO orbit and proximity operations. Experience writing technical documentation, IVV plans, and test needs. Experience being at the interface between technical expert teams. A minimum experience of 4 years in a relevant position is required; ideally, the candidate has 8 years or more of experience and the capability to act as a technical referee, starting from a blank page and defining the development plan autonomously.
