Our mission is supported by an ambitious vertically integrated approach: design & manufacture of small satellites combined with development of earth observation services.Since its creation in 2018, the company has already grown substantially. Our team gathers more than 25 engineering expertise, from hardware design to software development & data science.In 2025, Aerospacelab counts offices in Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium), Toulouse (France), Lausanne (Switzerland) and US West Coast with more than 300 full-time employees, with the ambition to position itself as the European leader in small satellites.DutiesDesign and analyze satellite communication systems, including size and number of beams, bandwidth, coverage, … to meet system requirements (capacity, throughput, …).Develop RF link budgets and conduct performance assessments using (custom) simulation tools.Design modulation, coding, and multiplexing techniques for reliable satellite links.Work with the designers and the customer on high-level architecture.Support all aspects of the development chain: requirements, architecture, design, manufacturing, integration, test, operationsWork on RF / telecommunication spacecraft architecture with various teams (e.g. RF, electrical, software, FPGA, network).Support design reviews to ensure requirements and interface complianceWork closely with external providers of telecommunication systems to review designs, identify, and resolve issues and develop integration and test approachesExecute in-lab testing and on-orbit performance validation, using advanced RF measurement tools (spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and signal generators).Must haveMSc or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field3+ years of experience in telecommunication systems, RF electronics or antennaKnowledge of telecommunication payloads and one or more standards (e.g., DVB-S2X, DVB-RCS2, 5G, CCSDS, …)Demonstrated ability to work autonomously across teams and company to drive multi-disciplinary projects to completionFluency in EnglishNice to haveA passion for technology and rapid execution of sophisticated space missionsExperience in frequency coordination (ITU, FCC)Experience working on telecommunication satellite constellationsExperience with RF systems analysis tools (SystemView or equivalent custom tools).Knowledge of software-defined radios (SDR) and digital signal processing (DSP)Knowledge of RF subsystems (transponders, antennas, amplifiers, frequency converters, SSPA,…)Experience with interference analysisExperience with scripting language (Python)Experience in space industryWilling to work out of your comfort zoneWhat we offerBuild your own career pathDirect impact on the growth of the companyFast-paced environmentFlexible ways of workingSalary package consistent with your experience #J-18808-Ljbffr
