Job description Location: 10 Boulevard Thomas Gobert, 91120 Palaiseau (France) Start date: February, 2026 We are looking for a Senior Electronic System Engineer to ensure the development of our high‑speed optical links and their integration into electro‑optical systems. If you are curious about the dynamics of a Deeptech startup dealing with scientific innovation, solving challenging technical problems and doing impactful work, consider joining the team Responsibilities System Architecture & Design Design RF system architectures for high‑speed optical links, ensuring signal integrity and performance optimization. Define and specify electrical interfaces between optical components (lasers, detectors) and electronic subsystems. Develop system‑level specifications that bridge component‑level performance with integrated link requirements. Design and optimise laser driver circuits and photodiode read‑out electronics for high‑performance optical links. Testing & Validation Conduct system‑level characterization and performance verification against specifications. Participate in the development and validation of models for architecture‑level simulations. Analyse test results to identify performance bottlenecks and drive design improvements. Cross‑functional Collaboration Work closely with photonics engineers to translate optical component specifications into system‑level electrical requirements. Collaborate with product teams to ensure technical feasibility and manufacturability of designs. Support integration activities and provide technical expertise during product development phases. Requirements Qualifications Education Education: Engineer, Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field. Experience Experience: Senior profile (5‑10 years of experience) with a strong industrial mindset, and relevant experience in electronic system design. Preferably in optical communications or high‑speed interconnect systems. A PhD is valued but not mandatory if compensated by significant industrial R&D experience. Technical Skills RF Systems Engineering: deep understanding of high‑frequency circuit design and modelling, signal integrity, and electromagnetic compatibility. Microelectronics: proficiency in analog and mixed‑signal circuit design, including amplifiers, filters, and high‑speed interfaces. Laser Drivers & Photodiode Read‑out: hands‑on experience designing driver circuits for laser diodes and transimpedance amplifiers for photodetectors.System Integration: ability to define and validate electrical interfaces between subsystems in complex integrated systems. Testing & Measurement: experience with high‑speed oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and optical test equipment. Knowledge of Python coding language is a plus. Soft Skills Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality. Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross‑functional teams. Ability to work independently and participate in multiple projects simultaneously. Flexibility, polyvalency and open‑mindedness.English professional proficiency. French is a plus.
