Global Sourcing Category Buyer - Co-Manufacturing (M/W) Lactalis Group is the worldwide leader of the Dairy Industry with a turnover of 30,3 billion euros at the end of 2024. This job position will allow you to leverage your expertise in Global Procurement on international projects, with the support of accessible managers. We are hiring a Global Sourcing Category Buyer, responsible for a direct spend of > €100 million of finished products. As a part of the Global Co‑Manufacturing Procurement team, you will work across Lactalis's different business divisions. This is a challenging, highly dynamic and visible role that will see you leading key strategic projects to optimise the quality, service, costs, innovation and cash performance of your categories. Mission & Challenges Define with all relevant stakeholders (R&D, Industrial, Quality, Marketing…) the strategies of the categories you have in charge, taking into consideration the internal and external partners (Lactalis countries, market environment, suppliers…) Design the roadmaps for execution Drive the strategies with your local counterparts and monitor its progress Lead a functional network of 15+ regional/local buyers Define, drive and optimise our global supplier's portfolio as well as monitoring their performance Participate actively in the budget (assumptions and saving plans) Maintain an active innovation watch Develop market knowledge and expertise, deploy best practices within the group by active benchmark This position requires travels (10 to 30% of the time). Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in procurement – previous experience with contract manufacturing is a plus. Excellent communicator with leadership potential – strategic vision. Natural connector – able to build a network to support business goals. Able to set priorities, take some distance, and be pragmatic. Tenacity, with strong adaptation and relationship capabilities to gain credibility and create an efficient network within CBUs and suppliers. Professional sourcing experience or / and education background that provides relevant knowledge within the purchasing area. Someone who is oriented to deliver value in these categories, with a strong understanding of the FMCG market across the different cultures. Languages: fluent in English. French would be a plus.
