VP Finance — Growth CFO for Energy Storage Startup

Location : Greater Paris RegionStart : ASAPContract type : Full-time permanent contract (CDI)About Decade EnergyFounded in 2024, Decade Energy is a fast-growing start-up with a team of around 20 people committed to the energy transition. Specializing in energy storage and charging stations for logistics sites, the company designs, finances, installs and operates power and connection security infrastructures based on battery storage solutions (BESS).With the aim of decarbonizing the transport sector, Decade Energy supports road transport operators and real estate owners in electrifying their depots. We are now looking for a VP Finance to create and manage our entire finance function.Key responsibilitiesOwn the company’s financial operations and performance management : lead accounting, cash management, FP&A, controlling, reporting, budgeting, forecasting and supplier payments to ensure robust financial discipline and visibilityManage lenders and infrastructure investor relations : oversee debt and equity drawdowns, covenant compliance, performance tracking vs. business plan, and reporting to lenders, investors and partners; contribute to refinancing and fundraising processesDesign and improve financial systems and processes : build scalable internal processes, reporting templates and analytical dashboards to support data-driven decision-making across the companyEnsure compliance and risk management : guarantee accuracy of financial statements, compliance with tax and regulatory obligations, and adherence to internal control proceduresSupport business operations and project execution : partner with construction, operations and development teams to monitor project costs, margins and cash flow at both corporate and asset levelsWork closely with the executive team on strategic initiatives : collaborate with the COO and CEO on fundraising, growth strategy and business planningImplement financial tools and systems : drive improvements to the ERP / accounting stack to automate and streamline reporting, consolidation and cash trackingManage consolidation across entities : oversee financial consolidation between TopCo and AssetCo structures, including intercompany flows, performance reporting and compliance alignmentYour profile8-10 years’ experience in finance (audit, controlling, FP&A); experience within a renewable IPP is a strong plusComfortable managing the finance function of an IPP, from TopCo to SPVsStrong analytical skills, rigor and ability to anticipate and structureFluent in French and EnglishBenefitsCompetitive salaryStock options (BSPCE)Free health insuranceAutonomy and flexibilityCareer growth opportunitiesInternational environmentHow to applyIf interested, please send an email to : alexandre.cleret@decade.energy #J-18808-Ljbffr
