The World Mosquito Program (WMP) is a global not-for-profit organization owned by Monash University (Australia), dedicated to protecting communities from mosquito-borne diseases, including dengue, Zika, yellow fever, and chikungunya. Learn more: www.worldmosquitoprogram.org Position Overview The Senior Manager – Business Strategy plays a critical role in guiding WMP’s strategic and investment decisions. You will develop robust financial and scenario models, evaluate capital projects, and support partnership and financing strategies across global markets. Your work will strengthen organizational decision‑making by ensuring transparency, rigor, and evidence‑based evaluations. This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer – based in Australia – and works closely with the Chief Executive Officer – based in France – contributing directly to high‑level strategic initiatives and portfolio prioritization. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain financial and economic models to evaluate capital investments, new ventures, joint initiatives, and technology deployments Design blended financing solutions leveraging philanthropic partners, grant agencies, and development banks to support global access Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to assess the impact of cost, schedule, and market variations on projects Benchmark project costs, operating metrics, and financing structures against internal and external standards Ensure model governance, auditability, and documentation across all analyses Collaborate with finance, business development, and operational teams to define assumptions and provide expert advice on strategic initiatives Support stage‑gate and project governance reviews with risk‑adjusted metrics and actionable recommendations Contribute to portfolio prioritization, trade‑off analyses, and strategic planning, balancing financial sustainability, risk, and impact potential Work across global teams to support digital transformation and analytical initiatives Education & Experience 10+ years of experience in financial modelling, in international, capital‑intensive, or purpose‑driven organizations Core Skills & Knowledge Advanced financial analysis skills: NPV, IRR, payback, sensitivity, and scenario analysis Experience evaluating large‑scale projects, ventures, or investments, including in emerging markets Knowledge of blended financing models to support development initiatives Ability to incorporate country, political, and fiscal risks into financial evaluations Strong understanding of project governance, stage‑gate processes, and evidence‑based decision‑making Advanced Excel and modelling tool proficiency with disciplined documentation and version control Exceptional analytical, numerical, and problem‑solving skills Ability to translate complex technical, operational, and market data into clear financial insights Excellent interpersonal negotiation, and communication skills Languages Business proficiency in English (C1) and French, Spanish or Portuguese (desirable) Why Join WMP?
