Location: Nice area, France (teleworking possible 2 days/week) Contract Type: Permanent (CDI) or Freelance – Long-term mission Experience: Minimum 7 years As a Safety Test Engineer, you will reinforce a squad of 5–6 engineers and ensure that Client’s automation systems comply with international safety standards before deployment. Responsibilities Validate functional safety of industrial systems according to IEC 61508 and ISO 13849. Define and execute safety-oriented test plans at the system level. Identify and analyze risks (SIL, FMEA, HAZOP). Collaborate with development and architecture teams to ensure compliance. Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint reviews). Produce safety validation reports. Must-Have Skills Strong knowledge of industrial safety standards (IEC 61508, ISO 13849). Experience in safety testing/validation in an industrial setting. Understanding of functional safety at the system level. Experience with Jira (or equivalent) for bug management.
