Project Manager - Deep Brain Stimulation (F/H)About the RoleThe Paris Brain Institute seeks an exceptional Project Manager to lead coordination of our groundbreaking Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) collective project. Our diverse community of world-class experts conducts leading-edge research across all neuroscience fields, with a strong commitment to training young researchers from varied backgrounds.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Project ManagementSupport project coordination including workplan development, communication strategies, and funding acquisitionRepresent the project in partner exchanges and maintain systematic reportingImplement comprehensive project management tools and monitoring proceduresCollaborate with multiple departments: grants office, finance, IT, HR, legal, and scientific integrityProgram Development & ImplementationLaunch and coordinate regular DBS meetings with early-career scientists and principal investigatorsOrganize two annual conferences (one international, one national) and specialized training eventsDevelop and manage summer schools, symposia, and soft skills workshops across European partner sitesCreate and maintain external communication platforms including project websiteTeam Leadership & SupportLead recruitment campaigns for early-career scientists including job descriptions and interview coordinationFacilitate visa procedures for international researchersBuild and maintain dynamic networks among young researchersProvide logistic support for all training activities and scientific eventsFinancial & Administrative ExcellenceOversee funding distribution to project partnersPrepare comprehensive activity reports (scientific, financial, communication)Develop and maintain data management plansEnsure compliance with EU reporting requirementsLong-term SustainabilityContribute to grant writing for continued program supportDevelop transitional strategies including summer course proposalsCollaborate on publication of training materials and methodologiesPrepare and submit proposals for second-wave scientist recruitmentEducation & ExperienceMaster's degree or PhD in neuroscience or related scientific fieldProven experience in scientific project management, preferably with European projectsBackground in consulting, academic institutions, or equivalent management rolesExperience in administrative, organizational, or neuroscience training (imaging, molecular, behavioral, or computational)Essential SkillsLanguage: Fluent English (written and oral) - position conducted entirely in EnglishProject Management: Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-partner initiativesGrant Writing: Experience with funding applications and financial reportingOrganizational Excellence: Track record of successful conference and event managementPersonal AttributesLeadership: Ability to work autonomously while supporting team objectivesCommunication: Exceptional interpersonal skills for building researcher networksInitiative: Proactive problem-solving and creative solution developmentPrecision: Meticulous attention to detail in reporting and milestone executionAdaptability: Dynamic approach to developing new scientific interaction methodsIntegrity: Strict confidentiality and professional standardsWhat We OfferOpportunity to shape cutting-edge neuroscience researchInternational, collaborative work environmentProfessional development in scientific project managementContribution to training the next generation of neuroscientistsFlexible working arrangements (remote work in exceptional circumstances)No weekend duties or animal experimentation requirementsOur Commitment to DiversityThe DBS initiative champions diversity in all forms - ethnicity, background, origin, culture, and gender.
