Ingénieur.e Confirmé.e - Corrosion des composants métalliques d'un REP F/HJoin us to apply for the Ingénieur.e Confirmé.e - Corrosion des composants métalliques d'un REP F/H role at Framatome.Within the Technical and Engineering Department, the Mechanical Engineering division is responsible for designing and specifying primary circuit components, as well as overseeing manufacturing and materials. It participates in numerous nuclear projects in France and internationally, including operational parks, new reactors, EPR, SMR, and experimental reactors.The mechanical division is expanding and offers many positions for engineers with diverse career development opportunities. The materials, technology, chemistry, NDT, and radioprotection department in the Mechanical Engineering division is seeking an experienced corrosion engineer to handle the following activities:Support for component manufacturing: Define conditions to prevent corrosion during manufacturing and at exit factories, provide technical support to sites, factories, and projects, and supervise supplier documentation. Define anti-corrosion specifications and conduct engineering studies on surface treatments/coatings applied at Framatome, clients, or subcontractors.Technical expertise on corrosion phenomena and support to operators: Justify material choices and lifespan in normal or degraded conditions, provide technical expertise to construction and operational sites, conduct data collection and analysis, prepare decision notes, and assess material behavior in manufacturing and reactor environments. Defend your analysis with internal and external clients.R&D activities: Propose programs to understand and control corrosion phenomena, supporting technical justifications and site issues.You will interface with:Framatome manufacturing plants and subcontractors,Other groups within the Materials department,Internal project sponsors and clients.You will take technical responsibility for certain activities, ensuring budget and schedule adherence. Occasional site visits may be required.ProfileYou hold an engineering degree or equivalent in materials science with a focus on corrosion, with at least 7 years of significant experience and strong knowledge of material interactions, corrosion, fluids, and/or special fluids (molten salts, liquid metals like Na, Pb, etc.), ideally in the nuclear domain. A PhD in corrosion or materials science is a plus.Technical skills include:Solid understanding of corrosion modes in metallic materials (nickel base, stainless steels, ferritic steels, hard alloys, etc.), including localized (stress corrosion cracking, pitting) and general corrosion in aqueous environments.Knowledge of manufacturing impacts on material properties.Familiarity with material characterization tests, failure analysis, mechanical testing techniques, surface treatment, and coating processes.Knowledge of nuclear materials behavior and metallurgy is advantageous.Basic understanding of corrosion modeling is a plus.Personal qualities include:A strong technical interest and ability to work across disciplines.Autonomy and adaptability to various technical topics.Teamwork and idea exchange skills.Good synthesis, proposal, writing, and communication skills.Organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple issues simultaneously.Scientific curiosity, problem-solving creativity.Proficiency in English.Location: Le Bourget, Île-de-France, France #J-18808-Ljbffr
