SAP Support – Supply Chain Functional Support Consultant Location: Paris, France Start: January Engagement: Freelance Role Overview We are seeking an experienced SAP Supply Chain Support Consultant to strengthen a global SAP application support function. The role focuses on supporting and enhancing SAP solutions across multiple regions, including Europe, the Americas, and Asia‑Pacific, while working closely with an external AMS provider and internal SAP Centre of Expertise teams. This position is suited to a consultant who enjoys operating in a live SAP environment, balancing functional support, change delivery, and stakeholder coordination. Key Responsibilities Provide functional support for SAP Supply Chain solutions in collaboration with an external AMS partner and regional SAP teams. Analyse business issues and translate them into clear functional requirements for enhancements or fixes. Review functional designs and validate solutions deliveredli> Participate in testing activities to ensure changes meet business and quality standards. Act as an escalation point for complex supply chain incidents and cross‑functional issues. Oversee and prioritise support tickets, ensuring service levels and delivery commitments are met. Coordinate resolution activities with other SAP domains such as Retail, Finance, and Master Data. Engage regularly with business users and SAP CoE stakeholders to review service performance and upcoming needs. Support advanced issue resolution, including basic ABAP analysis and debugging when necessary. Monitor daily operational activities performed by the AMS team and assist with problem resolution. Occasional travel to Italy may be required to collaborate with SAP core teams or AMS leadership. Required Experience Solid experience working with SAP ECC in Supply Chain or Logistics functions. Background in industries such as retail, fashion, or consumer‑focused manufacturing is strongly preferred. Hands‑on experience integrating SAP with third‑party logistics, warehouse management, or planning systems. Familiarity with SAP application support models and ticket‑based service environments. Comfortable working across international teams and time zones. Strong communication skills in English. Knowledge of Italian / French is an advantage. Profile & Soft Skills Analytical and structured approach to problem solving. Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively at different levels. Able to work independently while contributing to a broader global team. Adaptable and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced support environment.
