Store Lead - Ocean City Factory Outlet - Part timeThe Children's PlaceLocation: Ocean City, MarylandOverviewThe Store Lead will be responsible for supporting the Store Leadership Team by completing cash-wrap operations, opening and closing procedures, and acting as Leader on Duty (LOD). The Store Lead will represent the brand, operate in a professional manner, engage customers, maintain store standards, and support teamwork and employee development.ResponsibilitiesAssist in developing talent through the training of associates, including giving in-the-moment coaching conversations.Partner with the Store Manager to address performance concerns with associates.Support and participate in all company training and development initiatives.Foster a positive work environment and provide direct, objective feedback in a timely manner.Assess performance and provide appropriate feedback on a daily basis and during the annual performance review process.Motivate and inspire associates to build brand loyalty and create a positive store environment for customers and colleagues.Model, encourage, and demonstrate exceptional customer service behaviors on the sales floor while maintaining high brand standards.Represent the company professionally and positively.Support the management team to maximize productivity through operational and product knowledge, customer service, and participation in key store initiatives.Participate in the Leader on Duty (LOD) program by providing an exceptional customer shopping experience and driving store profitability while managing payroll.Process payroll weekly and modify schedules based on business needs.Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient stockroom, adhering to set policies.Ensure Environment (CRE) Standards & Safety requirements are met.Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent.1-3 years of retail experience.Must be at least 18 years of age.Skills and BehaviorsExcellent customer engagementDetail oriented with strong prioritization and time managementAbility to work in a team environment and give/receive performance-based feedbackCommitment to self-development and effective communicationAdaptable and flexible to changing prioritiesProficient in Microsoft Office; able to learn internal applicationsAbility to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, to meet business needsAbility to maneuver on the sales floor and stockroom; capable of climbing, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbsHourly/Salary$17.00 - $22.95 Per HourBenefits include: Paid Sick Time, Employee Discount, 401(k) and company match, Wellness Reimbursement, Adoption Assistance, backup care, and other voluntary benefits.
