About The Role As an Engineering Manager at Trustpair, you will be at the heart of our technical leadership, reporting directly to the CTO. You will lead two feature teams (squads), playing a crucial role in driving the delivery of our product roadmap and shaping the future of our innovative platform. This position is based in Paris with a hybrid remote set‑up. You will partner closely with product leadership, execute on our product vision, and contribute forward‑thinking technology initiatives, especially in the realm of LLM‑powered AI features. What you’ll do Drive for Impact: Ensure your teams consistently deliver on the product roadmap, delegating technical leadership to empower individual contributors and foster ownership and accountability. Strategic Partnership: Serve as a key partner to product leadership, mastering the product vision and bringing technological insights to the table. Align team priorities with company objectives and champion the value of technical initiatives. Technical Stewardship: Collaborate with engineering leadership to cultivate and promote a clear technical vision with a concrete roadmap, supporting Trustpair’s ambitious growth and long‑term success. Organizational Leadership: Act as a vital link between your teams and other departments, ensuring smooth collaboration and communication. Autonomously adapt your team’s organization to meet goals and propose improvements to overall engineering processes. Champion of Quality and Productivity: Uphold and enhance our commitment to software craftsmanship, with a focus on security and quality best practices. Proactively identify and remove blockers to foster developer productivity. Data‑Informed Leadership: Define and implement KPIs to measure your teams’ success, balancing delivery speed with quality. Mentorship and Coaching: Guide teams to excellence through dedicated coaching and mentorship, fostering continuous learning and a culture of DevOps principles. Team Building: Manage the full lifecycle of your team members—hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations—with a focus on long‑term growth and development. Must‑Haves Solid engineering background with substantial experience in a 20+ person organization and exposure to distributed processing architectures. A genuine enthusiasm for our product and a strong interest in our mission to eliminate B2B payment fraud. Business‑oriented and customer‑focused mindset, driving solutions that create business value and performance. Proven technical leadership with demonstrable achievements in delivering key components of complex software solutions, preferably in a B2B SaaS company. Product‑mindedness and experience partnering effectively with product management to shape roadmaps and align on strategic goals. Data‑driven mindset, understanding everything from business intelligence to technical stack monitoring. Process‑oriented experience in setting and optimizing development processes and techniques to improve efficiency and quality.
