These components are central to Vibe’s performance and growth.You will work closely with Vincent Lagabbe, Backend Engineer, who brings deep experience in large-scale, performance-critical systems from companies such as Criteo and Alan.The team values strong engineering fundamentals, thoughtful system design and continuous learning, with a modern, pragmatic and state-of-the-art approach to technology.Your MissionYou will contribute to the development of high-performance backend services powering our real-time bidding and performance optimisation systems.This role is designed for a junior to mid-level backend engineer who already has solid production experience and wants to level up quickly by working on complex systems, alongside experienced engineers.What You Will DoDesign and implement backend services involved in bidding, budget pacing and performance optimisationWrite clean, maintainable and well-tested code used in production at scaleGradually take ownership of backend components as your experience growsReal-time systems & performanceWork on distributed systems with strong latency and reliability constraintsLearn how to reason about performance, scalability and trade-offs in real-world RTB systemsParticipate in analysing and improving critical paths in production servicesUse AI-assisted development tools (including Claude at Vibe) as part of your daily engineering workflowLeverage AI to improve code quality, debugging, system understanding and learning speedContinuously refine your engineering practices using modern tools and methodologiesWork closely with backend engineers, data scientists and ML engineersBenefit from hands-on technical mentoring on architecture, performance and best practicesParticipate in code reviews, technical discussions and design sessionsGrow in an environment that values clarity, pragmatism and engineering excellenceWe are technology-agnostic and believe in using the right tool for the job.What We're Looking For2+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer on production systemsComfortable working with at least one backend language (Go or Python) and willing to learn othersComfortable working in an in-office first setting, at least for the first year, for proper mentoring purposesCurious, eager to learn from experienced engineers in a state-of-the-art technical environmentInterest in real-time systems, performance and data-intensive workloadsAppetite for using AI tools to learn faster and improve daily engineering workStrong fluency in English - as more than half the company is US-based and some team members only operate in EnglishCollaborative, humble and impact-driven mindsetWhy This RoleLearn from experienced engineers with deep expertise in large-scale, performance-critical systemsWork on core systems directly impacting Vibe’s performance and revenueExposure to state-of-the-art technologies, tools and engineering practicesStrong growth curve in a technically demanding but supportive teamA real opportunity to build long-term backend expertise in adtech and real-time systemsPerks & BenefitsVery competitive compensation (salary and stock-options / BSPCE)Generally Remote-first (in France or elsewhere), with the option to work on-site in an ultra-cozy coworking space in the heart of Paris (Morning Laffitte)Tech Syncs: worldwide Engineering and Product teams meet in person at least once per quarter #J-18808-Ljbffr
