Data Center Security Specialist, DCC Communities

For our AWS data centers in the Paris area, we are looking for a Data Center Security Specialist (DSS). Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and innovative. They enjoy teamwork and look for continuous improvement in security posture and processes. This position is 80% operational and 20% administrative and reporting. The DSS will support a senior Data Center Security Manager in charge of physical security operations in multiple Data Centers. Key job responsibilities Coordinate day-to-day activities and site security operations. Coordinate with Operations and Safety managers for facility operations. Provide guidance and leadership to contract security provider personnel. Evaluate the contract security provider performance and service delivery and request corrective actions from vendors as needed. Foster working relationships to educate data center stakeholders on false alarm reductions. Extract metrics and observe improvements by looking at and analyzing data. Verify Data Center security programs are delivered to meet defined global security standards. Assist in all media integrity related Programs. Assist in the training of new and existing personnel on behavioral compliance to security policies and procedures. Handle escalations and resolve tasks delegated and/or assigned to the team. Draft reports and prepare presentations on the status of physical security operations. Collaborate with managers in writing and implementing security policies, processes and procedures based on regional or global security initiatives. Serve as a customer advocate by identifying security-related opportunities and crafting innovative solutions that maintain security standards. Participate in site audits, inspections and walk-through. Identifying, discussing and bringing forward issues and solutions to senior team members. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 1+ year of experience in a physical security role. 1+ years of incident response & crisis management experience. 1+ year of experience collecting, analyzing, and utilizing data to drive process and system improvements. Proficient in all Microsoft Office tools. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to read, write and speak fluently English. Candidate must have a valid driving license and be eligible to drive in France as soon as they start. This position requires driving between company locations regularly all across the Paris area. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Strong communication skills. Ability to learn and adapt quickly to company tools for data gathering and analysis. Metrics oriented. Ability to act swiftly and calmly in time of crisis. Ability to handle confidential information with care. Ability to integrate into an international work environment.
