Our goal is to build transversal non‑functional capabilities that are consumed by all tribes. The team’s scope includes Authentication, Translation management, Transactional communications (SMS, Emails & Push notifications), Geo referential system and more. The team is responsible for building the enablers strategy and ensuring the technical excellence of the core components. Designing components that are up to date with the technical standards. Building maintainable and scalable core components. Building and maintaining third‑party integrations with multiple providers (Twilio, Phrase, Braze and others). Ensuring smooth integration with customer‑facing capabilities. Delivering necessary tools to feature teams (dev portals, documentation, guidelines, test utilities…) Providing the technical KPIs to monitor component execution health. The team is not directly in charge of implementing new features for end users, but supports customer‑facing teams by providing new core capabilities when needed. The Journey Enablers team is already composed of 3 senior backend engineers, distributed across France (with contractors in Portugal). Technical Stack GraphQL for front‑end APIs Node.js & TypeScript for backend services structured in a microservice architecture JSON‑RPC for internal communications between services PHP/Symfony for legacy components being decommissioned PostgreSQL & ElasticSearch for storage RabbitMQ as an event bus Monitoring with Datadog; 100% Kubernetes & AWS for orchestration & hosting What You'll Do Work closely with product manager, tribe architect & staff engineer on feature discovery and technical scoping. Collaborate with senior engineers on development and delivery of new features. Help QA team during testing and validation. Collaborate horizontally with other tribes to build cross‑functional functionality. Produce relevant documentation for team processes. Continuously improve team processes and KPIs. Qualifications Experienced software engineer with several years building backend services and applications. Solid technical background in web technologies (3‑5 years). Appetite for technical challenges and experience with distributed microservice architectures. Agile mindset, strong team spirit, and dynamic, curious attitude. Problem‑solving approach leveraging customer inputs in an iterative manner (Product Discovery). Ability to challenge product and stakeholder decisions, think first, monitor, document, and communicate outcomes. Comfortable writing and speaking in English. Nice to Have Excellent communication skills for technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Basic knowledge of GraphQL and PHP/Symfony. Good understanding of SQL databases and queries. Experience working in a distributed remote team across multiple locations.
