Legal Counsel – IT & Privacy Join to apply for the Legal Counsel – IT & Privacy role at OPmobility. OPmobility seeks a Legal Counsel – IT & Privacy with at least 5 years of experience gained both in‑house and in a law firm, to support the Group’s IS/IT Purchasing team, IS/IT and Digital teams, Legal department on IS/IT matters, and Innovation teams. The successful candidate will manage legal risks, draft and negotiate complex IT contracts, and advise on regulatory matters related to digital transformation (AI Act, Cyber Resilience Act, TISAX, Data Act, GDPR, etc.). This is a hands‑on, business‑oriented position requiring strong contractual negotiation skills, a bilingual level of English, and a proven appetite for new technologies (SaaS, AI). Adaptability to a fast‑paced, multicultural environment is essential. Key Responsibilities Contractual Negotiations & Legal Support Draft, review, and negotiate IT contracts with software vendors, cybersecurity and hardware providers, and IT services suppliers (French and English). Manage legal aspects of RFPs: risk analysis, documentation preparation, negotiation, and internal alignment. Provide day‑to‑day legal advice to Digital & IS teams on Intellectual Property, Personal Data Protection, Software licensing, SaaS, Outsourcing, AI, Cyber security and related issues. Business Partnership Act as a legal business partner, contributing proactively to the development and implementation of the company’s digital and IT strategies. Provide clear, pragmatic legal guidance to support business objectives while minimizing risks. Structuration & Internal Policies Support the implementation of legal documentation, internal policies, and templates. Conduct legal training sessions in French and English to promote legal awareness across the Digital & IS functions. Knowledge Management & Continuous Improvement Monitor legal trends and best practices in IT law and digital transformation. Recommend updates and improvements to internal legal tools (templates, memos, processes). Participate in legal projects and cross‑functional initiatives. Education Master’s degree in IT & Privacy Law or Business Law. Experience Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in IT/Digital Law, ideally with a combination of law firm and in‑house roles. Strong background in contract negotiation, particularly with IT service providers. For profiles with only an in‑house career, exposure to both client and vendor‑side negotiations is highly preferred. Skills & Competencies Bilingual in English and French (written and spoken) – English fluency is mandatory. Proven experience in a multicultural and international working environment. Solid understanding of IT project methodologies and technical aspects. High level of adaptability, strong communication skills, team spirit, and integrity. Strategic thinker with a hands‑on mindset and strong business acumen.
