Role Summary Cinemark Assistant Managers assist in the overall operation of the theatre. They ensure policies and procedures are followed and operational standards are achieved. They are cross trained in all departments to support where needed, and to provide inspirational training to all Employees. The Assistant Manager can advance to Senior Assistant Manager, Theatre Manager, or General Manager after completing the Management Accreditation Program and working for a minimum of six months. Responsibilities Follows the direction of the General Manager Supports General Manager’s decisions in communication with the staff Works in all departments and all theatre job functions Trains and coaches Team Members in their specific job functions Assists in the preparation of administrative and special reports for the General Manager Observes and participates in the inspection of the theatre building, parking lot, landscaping, property, roof and exterior signage, and equipment condition Reports the need for building, property, and equipment repairs to the General Manager Ensures Team Members follow the dress code Interacts with Guests to provide superior customer service Learns and follows Cinemark’s Guidelines; enforces them fairly and consistently Reports employee relations issues to the General Manager (in GM absence, to the designated reporting channel) All management members follow the Employee Relations Reporting Protocol Maintains high work ethic and code of conduct Identifies and addresses high-contact employee and guest safety concerns Properly utilizes Personal Protective Equipment for position-specific tasks Adapts to the frequency and scope of cleaning tasks Addresses safety or security issues (trip hazards, lighting, suspicious persons, etc.) Performs other work-related duties as assigned Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age High School or G.E.D. preferred Completion of three basic courses within Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program (Management Foundations, Annual Certifications, MAP Core) Completes basic food handling training and obtains any local/state certification or health card where required Safe Alcohol Service training if working with alcohol Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays Regular and consistent attendance Energetic and friendly attitude during each shift Excellent guest service and interpersonal skills Accurate cash handling and basic math skills Ability to communicate effectively with all ages and personalities; English proficiency Ability to work in a team environment and independently Ability to take and follow direction; respond with urgency Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail Ability to train and lead others; conflict resolution Physical and Environmental Requirements Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
