At Altair Engineering, we are committed to transforming customer decision making with data analytics, simulation, and high-performance computing and artificial intelligence (AI). We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled intern to join our technical team in France for a duration of 6 months.

Job Summary:

The data analysis and artificial intelligence platform Altair Rapidminer integrates machine learning and AI solutions that allow for quick access to low-latency granular data containing the information you're trying to discover. Providing transparency and automation with features such as AutoML and explainable AI, we streamline model creation to dedicate more time to analysis for reliable results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build a database of examples of AI applications for solving cross-functional and non-CAE problems
  • Conduct a literature review of the most representative approaches to solving these problems
  • Develop a standard data analysis approach for each case, including data discovery, cleaning, selection of the most appropriate model, model training and deployment, and data visualization
  • Collaborate with technical, sales, and marketing teams to contribute to the increase of new market penetration through the use of best-in-class data analytics tools
Requirements:
  • Master's program or engineering, data science, or business school program student in the final year
  • Knowledge of data science and data-related issues
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Highly curious and independent, proactive, and meticulous
  • Good teamwork and leadership abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of the retail industry
  • Proficiency in programming and automation (TCL, Python, etc.)
  • Familiarity with digital data analysis tools (Dataiku, Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx)
