We are seeking an experienced and passionate Payroll Officer to join our newly created Payroll Portfolio at Accor. This role is based at Pullman Sydney Hyde Park, supporting the payroll function for 5 key Accor Hotel properties in Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne.
Key Responsibilities- Support the end-to-end monthly payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Develop new initiatives to improve efficiency and payroll delivery, driving continuous improvement.
- Be the first point of contact for general payroll questions and queries, providing excellent customer service.
- Interpret and apply relevant legislation across different states, ensuring all awards are up-to-date.
- Attend and facilitate payroll meetings, fostering collaboration and communication.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, managing payroll projects with ease.
- Previous payroll experience within a medium to large organisation, with hospitality experience desirable but not essential.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn, with a strong focus on professional development.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with colleagues and stakeholders.
- An understanding of awards and legislation, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant laws.
- Good attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy and precision.
- Confidence handling sensitive and confidential matters with integrity, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
- A high level of computer proficiency, with experience using Wage Easy and/or TimeTarget highly advantageous.
