Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented Linux Systems Engineer to oversee the technical analysis and validation of IT systems, networks, hardware, and telecom parameters. The successful candidate will prepare documents for equipment deployment and installation, provide support to teams, and execute end-to-end integration and validation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the technical analysis and validation of IT systems, networks, hardware, and telecom parameters.
  • Prepare documents for equipment deployment and installation.
  • Provide support to teams in charge of physical equipment installation on customer sites.
  • Execute end-to-end integration and validation.
  • Manage technical escalation in collaboration with the R&D department.
  • Ensure that delivered characteristics correspond to customer requirements in terms of telecom or system functionalities.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in Linux, Docker, and cloud deployment.
  • Understanding of networking protocols, such as TCP/IP, UDP, TLS, SSH, DNS, NAT, SMTP, SNMP, firewalls, and router configurations.
  • Cloud base applications (e.g., AWS & Azure).
  • Cloud Native Orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes & Docker).
  • Virtualization environments (e.g., ESX/VMWare).
  • Knowledge of DevOps organization.
  • Understanding of Optical networks.

Preferred Skills:

  • Database: MySQL, Sybase, PostgreSQL, Oracle.
  • Cloud Native Application monitoring (e.g., Prometheus & Grafana).
  • Search Engine/Database (e.g., Elasticsearch, Mongo).
  • Programming language, including integrations with JSON, XML, and REST APIs.
  • ActiveMQ message broker.
  • Good knowledge of EXFO Products & Solutions.

Language:

Fluent English and French language skills are required.
