Fragrance Design Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Scent Design Leader to join our Fine Fragrance team at International Flavors & Fragrances. As a key member of our Scent division, you will be responsible for developing innovative fragrance solutions that meet the needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage Go-To-Market Projects and implement fragrance development strategies that drive business results.
- Connect market, customer, and consumer needs to identify, develop, and recommend competitive product solutions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to uncover challenges and opportunities and develop new fragrance solutions and capabilities.
- Develop creative strategies according to Holistic Scent Design principles.
- Consumer Insights strategy: define what to learn from consumers to gain competitive advantage and build winning consumer-relevant solutions.
- Manage the execution of the olfactive strategy by providing creative direction and olfactive guidance to perfumers.
- Constantly listen to the voice of the customer and deliver above expectations.
- Create effective client need analysis.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and gain their trust and respect.
- Communicate and maintain awareness on market developments and competitive insights and actively share knowledge with other parts of the organization.
- Excellent olfactive communication skills that support the overall creative process.
- Ability to effectively identify potential fragrance or technology solutions based on market relevance.
- Solid understanding of market/consumer trends and consumer behaviors/preferences.
- Fragrance ingredient and technology understanding to facilitate communication with technical teams and perfumers.
- Basic technical understanding of Fine Fragrance formulations and assess stability risks.
- Strong project management skills, disciplined, and process-oriented.
- Open-minded, strong agility, and shows courage.
- Ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment and deliver under pressure.
- Commercial mindset, bottom-line oriented.
- Team player, ability to motivate others towards a common goal to achieve results.
- Excellent influencing skills across all levels within the organization.
- Fluent in French and English.
- Master's or bachelor's degree in Perfumery, Science, Chemistry, Consumer Science, Product Research, or any other relevant discipline.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in Fragrance evaluation.
