We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled researcher to join our team as a Research Assistant - Doctoral Candidate in the field of Semantic Data Management. The successful candidate will be part of our interdisciplinary team and contribute to the development of innovative approaches for semantic data management.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and implement algorithms and models for semantic modeling
- Develop conceptualizations in the form of ontologies and knowledge graphs
- Link knowledge graphs with large language models and other approaches from the field of machine learning
- Presentation of scientific findings in seminars, meetings, and conferences
- Promotion and development of personal and scientific qualifications
- Completed university degree in computer science, engineering, physics, mathematics, or comparable fields
- Knowledge of semantics, ontologies, and knowledge representation or the semantic web
- Experience with semantic technologies (including RDF, OWL, SPARQL, SHACL) is advantageous
- Analytical and structured way of working and a high level of problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Confident demeanor, creativity, and enjoyment of new technologies
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills
We are an interdisciplinary team that deals with technical, individual, and social perspectives on digital transformation. Together with our research and application partners, we drive innovation and change. Our research focuses on the construction, continuous development, and refinement of knowledge graphs, the (semi-)automated creation of semantic models, and the improvement of accessibility and usability for semantic technologies in everyday life.
