We are seeking an experienced Gemstones Specialist to join our team of in-house experts in a growing area of Catawiki's auctions.

• As a Catawiki expert, you will utilize your specialist knowledge to evaluate and arrange lots submitted by our users, creating attractive auctions that showcase your expertise.
• You will review lot titles, descriptions, and pictures, providing users with an estimated and realistic value based on your knowledge and experience.
• One of our main focuses is to maintain transparency and fairness in user transactions, and your expertise plays a significant role in achieving this standard.
• You will work closely with our sales department to recruit and develop new sellers, diversifying the selection of lots offered in your auctions.
• Additionally, you will collaborate with our marketing department to generate attention for your auctions and increase potential bidder interest.

• Gemmology Diploma from a recognized institution;
• 3-8 years of experience in the jewellery or precious stones trade, with knowledge in manufacturing processes, quality control, or gemological testing;
• Experience in appraising and assessing jewellery, with an understanding of curating lots online;
• Good grasp of market prices and extensive trade knowledge, with a network of potential sellers and experts in your field;
• Documented commercial or customer-facing experience;
• Good computer skills and excellent communicative skills;
• Fluent English language skills, with French as a plus.
