Purchasing Operations Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Buyer to lead and manage purchasing activities for our cross-functional projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for sourcing, planning, and quality assurance, while collaborating with stakeholders to ensure successful project deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Interact with the purchasing community, including buyers, SQEs, managers, and vice-presidents, to communicate project status and requirements.
- Create initiatives and share success stories to engage people in the project and promote a culture of innovation.
- Provide supplier competencies to the project team, working closely with purchasing segment leaders to ensure effective collaboration.
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and ensure quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address cost drivers, and bring business perspectives to the project.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and agreements that meet the project's needs.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in the automotive industry, with a strong understanding of purchasing challenges and opportunities.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field, such as business administration, supply chain management, or engineering.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address cost drivers and quality assurance issues.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and a willingness to take calculated risks to drive innovation and growth.
