What you will do:

Reporting locally to the Market Head France & Head French Branch and functionally to the Head of Investment Counsellors Europe International, you will be responsible for assisting the Investment Counsellors (ICs) in the positioning/delivery of investment solutions to clients and prospects of HSBC Private Bank Luxembourg.

In this role you will:

  • Support IC on all administrative tasks: ARPQ, K&E documents, CRM reports, SQS issues, updating spreadsheets, presentations, finding information on products and investment mandates.
  • Prepare account reviews (using Aladdin tool for asset allocation, stress testing etc..) and help ICs prepare for client meetings (performance analysis, investment propositions).
  • Gaining strong and thorough knowledge on asset allocation and portfolio optimization, on how to analyze portfolios and choose investment solutions appropriate for clients from our investment platform.
  • Be an efficient back-up for ICs in their absence (example: client request for research, investment information and documentation).
  • Pro-active review/investment proposal to Clients in close co-operation with the ICs.
  • Perform investment initiatives, including preparation of materials for product campaigns, equity list, switches, pitch book generation, portfolio optimizations, weekly IC/RM meetings.
  • Follow up on recommendations (limit orders, entry points, executions).
  • Advise on corporate actions with advice from ICs.
  • Liaise with product specialists for bond and equity lists, research and others.
  • Execute market orders in Avaloq.
  • Keep up to date on the product offering (all asset classes) by attending EMEA Sales Meetings.

You should apply if you have:

  • Good understanding of the private wealth management industry, macroeconomics, financial markets and various traditional and non-traditional investment products.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Multitasking abilities.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills: Excel, visual basic, PowerPoint.
  • Trading experience in executing clients' orders.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Team player, high achiever, quick to learn, positive attitude.
  • Keen sense of urgency, high level of professional and personal integrity.
  • High capacity to handle stress.
  • Masters' degree in finance, economics or equivalent.
  • Previous experience within the banking industry 1 to 3 years is highly desirable.
  • CFA exam or equivalent is welcome.
  • Proficiency in English and French, and other languages.
