Contamination Control Specialist

AESC has over 4,000 employees and 10 production plants in Japan, the U.S., the U.K., China and France. For the past 12 years, AESC has produced high-performance, extended range batteries for more than 950,000 electric vehicles in 44 countries, achieving a record of "zero critical battery malfunction."
The RoleAESC is seeking a contamination control expert to join their Giga factory project in France. The successful candidate will be responsible for process engineering, delivery, commissioning and ongoing production support for their dedicated process area.
Responsibilities- Lead the assessment of equipment entering the clean room protection scheme and feasibility of admission
- Participate in the on-site management of contamination control during installation
- Lead contamination risk point identification of equipment
- Lead process contamination monitoring
- Participate and lead problem-solving efforts for contamination-related issues
- Lead the process parameter optimization of dust removal and magnetization
- Lead on-site inspection of foreign bodies/contamination
- Promote foreign body/contamination control training for internal and external partners
- Lead dust removal and demagnetization process parameter solidification
- Lead contamination control plan creation
- Promote cleaning WI optimization
- Lead and promote the solution of Hipot issues
- Conduct regular contamination audits of each facility area
- A degree in Engineering or a related field
- Experience of process engineering, an appreciation of process control and optimization
- Leadership in problem-solving/root cause analysis efforts for complex manufacturing issues
- Experience of conducting detailed lab-based analysis
- Experience operating laboratory equipment necessary to conduct detailed analysis of contamination
- Experience making tear-downs or investigations into finished product quality
- Experience in report writing and driving issues to conclusion
- Self-motivated and result-driven, able to drive a team and get results in a cross-functional environment
- Previous involvement in battery manufacturing or similar technologies
- Background in high-volume quality-focused environments
