Position Overview:
In the Home & Personal Care research laboratory, you will oversee global innovation initiatives and exploration activities specifically for the Hair Care sector. We seek a scientist with a PhD in soft matter, ideally with experience in colloids at interfaces.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Research Scientist focusing on Hair Care, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Developing a scientific understanding of critical challenges and technical pathways to meet market demands.
- Proactively proposing innovative ideas, concepts, and mechanisms of action applicable to the Hair Care sector and other Home & Personal Care areas.
- Identifying economically viable and technically sound solutions aligned with Solvay's Hair Care strategy.
- Planning, organizing, and executing the technical actions necessary to pinpoint solutions and strategize their market introduction, including resource allocation and budgeting.
- Enhancing formulation expertise across various hair types and product formats (shampoos, conditioners, treatments, etc.).
- Recognizing opportunities and risks related to intellectual property for new developments or product enhancements.
- Staying informed about regulatory requirements in the cosmetics sector and collaborating with our regulatory team to preempt potential issues.
- Contributing to scientific and technical monitoring within the Hair Care domain.
- Leading a team of laboratory technicians and supporting their professional growth.
- Utilizing digital collaboration tools daily and contributing to their development.
- Being open to travel for customer engagements and participation in seminars or training sessions.

Your Qualifications:
