We are seeking a skilled Credit Controller to join our team at TD SYNNEX. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for meeting individual cash collection and aged debt targets, while assisting in the achievement of both team and departmental objectives.
Key Responsibilities- To achieve the monthly cash performance target, reduce shortfalls, and ensure the dunning and late payer process is followed.
- Negotiate with customers to resolve outstanding issues and secure payment of overdue debt, with a focus on reducing aged debt in line with individual, team, and departmental monthly targets.
- Timely identification and resolution of queries, involving liaison with internal and external customers at all levels.
- Monitor the ledger to identify customers reaching credit limit, obtain authorization to exceed limit, or secure payment to reduce balance.
- Provide Collections Manager and Sales Department with information on late payers and issues that may prevent trading.
- Take appropriate actions on unpaid accounts and prepare legal paperwork for accounts that need to be passed to solicitors.
- Reconcile customer statements to produce a concise overview of the account for the customer.
- Ensure that all debts at document level of over 5K are fully documented, and every effort is made to minimize business risk.
- Actively communicate with and support both internal and external customers, representing TD SYNNEX in a professional manner at all times.
- Perform ad hoc duties as required.
- Previous experience in a Credit Collection/Finance role is desirable but not essential.
- Effective communication, accountability, problem-solving, relationship-building, excellent organization skills, negotiation skills, commercial awareness, prioritization, SAP, Excel, Outlook, and distribution industry experience are highly valued.
- A desire to be ICM qualified or working towards ICM qualification is an advantage.
