Job Summary
The Parachute Dog Handler is a critical member of the Armée de l'Air et de l'Espace team, responsible for protecting and supporting air force operations. As a Parachute Dog Handler, you will work closely with our canine units to detect and neutralize threats, ensuring the safety of our personnel and assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Protect air force personnel and assets on domestic and international missions
- Operate in a variety of environments, including bases and deployment zones
- Work with canine units to detect and neutralize threats
- Conduct training and exercises to maintain and improve skills
- Collaborate with other teams to achieve mission objectives
Requirements
- French nationality
- Less than 30 years old at the time of contract signing
- Level 3 education
- Pass selection tests, including medical exams related to the specialty
Training and Development
- 6-week military training at the Centre de Préparation Opérationnelle du Combattant de l'Armée de l'air (CPOCAA) in Orange
- 5-week MAQUIS stage on the base aérienne d'Orange
- 4-week stage specific to maître-chien on the base aérienne d'Orange
- 8-week MATOU stage on the base aérienne d'Orange
