Position Overview

Are you passionate about diagnosing performance challenges and proposing enhancements for various components of a Cloud Server's System-on-a-Chip? Do you have an interest in evaluating the performance of future Arm CPUs and Interconnect IPs in a collaborative environment?

The Infrastructure Performance Analysis team at Arm is composed of dedicated engineers committed to maintaining our forefront position in server and cloud computing by assisting our partners in developing exceptional products. Through comprehensive competitive assessments, intricate workload characterizations, and advanced software modeling, we consistently influence Arm's engineering teams and its collaborators.

Work Location

This role can be based in either Sophia-Antipolis or Cambridge.

Key Responsibilities:

As a System Performance Analysis Engineer within the Solutions Performance Analysis team, you will conduct experiments in pre-Silicon SoC environments, assessing the performance of various Arm components (such as CPU and Interconnect) through use cases that closely resemble those utilized in server and networking products. You will be responsible for identifying potential bottlenecks and contributing to the development of solutions.

Your eagerness to learn and adapt to this new challenge will be crucial. Given the significance of this field, you will be encouraged to share your insights with other specialists across the organization, fostering a culture that embodies Arm's core beliefs and values.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of computer architecture.
  • Proficiency in Verilog/SystemVerilog.
  • Experience in Front-End Design.
  • Familiarity with Ruby, Assembly language (preferably Arm assembly), and programming languages such as C or C++.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within teams and across different groups and locations.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
