We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Engineer II to join our Release Management Unit and contribute to the development of Ansys Licensing as a Service (LaaS), a high-availability API service hosted on Azure.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, maintain, test, and document software modules and sub-systems.
- Employ best practices and understand the marketing requirements for a product, including target environment, performance criteria, and competitive issues.
- Perform bug verification, release testing, and beta support for assigned products, researching problems discovered by QA or product support and developing solutions.
- Work under the general supervision of a development manager.
- BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 2 years' experience or MS.
- Strong computing skills with demonstrated knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON schemas, sustainable development practices, requirements, and needs of maintaining a business-critical service.
- Technical knowledge and commercial experience with developing a distributed API service written in TypeScript using Node.JS as a framework in an Agile development environment.
- Technical knowledge and commercial experience with OpenAPI specifications, Azure tools and resources (Bicep, Application Insights, Cosmos DB, Kubernetes, etc.).
- Experience delivering high-quality products in a large-scale commercial organization.
- Understanding of customer requirements and tools used in this domain.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and to collaborate with others in a geographically distributed team.
