Project OvervieweMob-Twin: A Digital Twin for Electromobility Flexibility Forecast
Our team has developed eMob-TwinV1, a tool for e-mobility simulation utilizing digital twin technology. This tool is designed for forecasting, analysis, and maximizing electric vehicle flexibility. The upcoming version, eMob-TwinV2, will expand its capabilities to include additional metropolitan areas in France with enhanced auto-calibration features.
This role will contribute to the PEPR Digitalisation et Décarbonation des Mobilités (MOBIDEC) initiative, focusing on optimizing the placement of charging stations and power delivery density. The scientific research will be conducted by a post-doctoral researcher, with results integrated into the eMob-Twin V2 software by the research engineer.

Job ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a collaborative individual to take on the role of Software Engineer (SE) to assist in the organization, design, and development of the eMob-TwinV2 proof of concept. You will join a team of researchers and engineers specializing in control systems, particularly in the field of Electromobility.
Key ActivitiesThe primary responsibilities include:
- Enhancing the deployability of the software
- Refining the software and mathematical models
- Validating results against other mobility simulation tools
- Integrating new toolsets
The role will also involve leading and coordinating software development alongside another web-based software engineer and overseeing the establishment of a modular software architecture for the platform.
Required Skills- Proficient in French (spoken and written)
- Competent in English for discussions with international collaborators
- Strong planning abilities and adherence to deadlines, with the capacity to work independently and as part of a team
- Partial reimbursement for public transportation costs
