The Service Department, dedicated to ensuring the efficient operation of wind farms, is seeking a Team Leader responsible for enhancing the performance of wind turbines throughout their operational life. This role is crucial for maximizing energy efficiency and fostering long-term customer loyalty.
Key Responsibilities :
- Act as the Supervisor's backup for maintenance tasks in field operations.
- Oversee maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with standards for both scheduled and unscheduled tasks.
- Execute advanced operational maintenance and installation tasks as assigned, utilizing specialized tools and diagnostic equipment (e.g., data logger, Vestas Turbine Monitor, borescope).
- Document turbine issues as necessary and input data into company systems such as SF and SAP. Interface with turbine control and mechanical systems to safely perform service and installation tasks.
- Ensure that quality, cost, and service delivery objectives are met in alignment with the Service's goals.
- Adhere to Vestas' safety standards, procedures, and processes (work permits, forms, security alerts, etc.).
- Provide high-quality daily reporting and service documentation in Salesforce and other Vestas systems, such as I-auditor, in accordance with established reporting standards.
- Offer training and coaching to technicians and operators in technical areas, operational procedures, and safety practices.
- Assist the supervisor in the ongoing evaluation and development of staff competencies.
- Communicate with customers regarding completed and upcoming service and repairs.
Required Competencies :
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Serve as a role model for colleagues.
- Significant experience or a degree in electrical fields, mechanics, or hydraulics, in accordance with local standards and requirements.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques and strong problem-solving skills, along with field training capabilities.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities and team attributes.
- Commitment to safety, quality, continuous improvement, and delivering effective solutions.
- Maintain a professional demeanor that promotes a positive image to both internal and external customers, even in challenging situations.
- Proficient use of complex power tools such as hydraulic rams and diagnostic tools (e.g., advanced fluke meter functions, VOB data collection).
- Good command of the local language and English.
- Act as an ambassador for quality and safety.
- Possess a valid driving license.
