The Quantum Flagship team at Sorbonne Université is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to contribute to our research in quantum complexity theory. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work on cutting-edge projects at the intersection of computer science, theoretical physics, and experimental quantum optics.
We are a dynamic and inclusive research group based in central Paris, with a strong focus on promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion. Our team is involved in various regional, national, and international initiatives in quantum information, including flagship projects. We strive to create a collaborative and stimulating work environment.
As a postdoctoral researcher, you will have the opportunity to manage your own research, contribute to the team's working life, and help supervise students and teach. The position is initially for 12 months, renewable for up to 24 months, with a flexible start date.
ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for candidates with experience in quantum complexity theory or adjacent areas such as quantum cryptography or classical complexity theory. The project perspectives include:
- Hamiltonian complexity
- Interplay between complexity theory and cryptography
- Interplay between complexity theory and learning theory
