Job Overview
CONTEXT
The Eurosystem Collateral Management System (ECMS) represents a comprehensive platform designed to streamline and unify the collateral management processes across the Eurosystem. This initiative aims to replace the existing 21 monetary policy collateral management systems currently utilized by national central banks. The ECMS is crucial for the settlement of credit operations within the Eurosystem, facilitating a standardized approach to managing collateral provided by financial institutions to national central banks.
Our client is in the process of establishing the essential infrastructure, both centrally and among participating entities, to ensure compliance with the ECMS for collateral submissions to the European Central Bank (ECB). This transition is critical for operational efficiency and is set to be fully functional by the end of 2024. The participating entities are required to transition to this new system, and tailored support for this migration has been deemed necessary.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This role specifically addresses the domain of private claims.
The responsibilities include:
- Supporting project teams with direct Application-to-Application (A2A) deliveries for the transition to the new ECMS-aligned system, utilizing the capabilities of the ECMS User-to-Application (U2A) interface.
- Assisting the Project Delivery Lead (PDL) team in coordinating all essential tasks outlined in the production timeline, including managing relationships with entities and providing exceptional support for specific inquiries related to rejection analysis.
- Analyzing the PDL workload in the operational phase based on cases encountered during the initialization and integration stages.
- Offering technical assistance to the A2A project team in the event of transfer flow issues or non-receipt of files by the ECMS or the 3CP platform.
- Serving as the point of contact with the Banque de France for any incidents arising at the central level.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience with the ECMS platform is essential.
- Familiarity with the Banque de France is a notable advantage.
- Proficiency in English is required.
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience is necessary.
