YOUR ROLE

Ensure that all engineering assistance provided in the project or proposal meets the Client's specifications along with all relevant codes, regulations, and standards. Oversee the engineering resources allocated to projects or proposals as designated. Collaborate with the Project/Tender Manager or Senior/Lead Engineer regarding deviations from engineering and contractual principles. Execute engineering tasks and documentation promptly to fulfill Client and project/proposal requirements. Develop optimal technical solutions utilizing available DeepOcean assets in response to client scopes. Coordinate with the Engineering team as necessary to support Commercial and Project Operations.

YOUR KEY TASKS

Engage with the engineering team comprising Engineers, subcontractors, and/or consultants in projects, proposals, or studies on a daily basis. Contribute to the delivery of commercially and technically optimized solutions that align with client expectations and are fit for purpose. Conduct engineering activities in accordance with the Engineering Procedure safely and accurately. Assist in the planning and execution of marine operations. Participate in offshore operations as required as part of the offshore team. Complete tasks assigned by the Line Manager or Project Manager. Organize mobilization and offshore operations as directed within key locations and worksites. Maintain close communication with superiors to ensure clients receive appropriate documentation and are kept informed of progress within established deadlines. Develop and seek to enhance procedures and project documentation. Share and demonstrate specialized knowledge with colleagues. Collaborate with HSEQS to ensure all project/proposal specific HSEQS requirements are fulfilled, and all necessary documentation is completed.

YOUR KEY MEASURABLES

Assigned scopes are completed in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner in accordance with contractual obligations. Project achieves the anticipated level of revenue and margin. Commitment to on-the-job training. Provide engineering support to colleagues to enhance overall knowledge within the engineering department. Foster excellent working relationships with clients, DeepOcean colleagues, and suppliers.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE FOR THE ROLE

Higher Education Degree/Master/Bachelor (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering or science discipline or extensive, company-assessed experience in the specific area. Minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience. Membership in a recognized Industry Engineering body. Experience in similar roles within the European and African/international subsea market. Familiarity with subsea structures and/or vessels and equipment within SURF, Decommissioning, and IRM markets or equivalent. Planning and execution of marine operations according to industry standards. ROV and subsea operations experience.

You will report to the Lead Engineer.
