Job Title: VP - Sales

Matthews International is seeking a highly experienced and strategic VP - Sales to lead our Memorialization division. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing and implementing sales strategies, and building strong relationships with clients and partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute sales plans to achieve company growth targets and objectives.
  • Lead and manage a high-performing sales team, providing guidance, support, and coaching to maximize their performance.
  • Establish sales goals and targets, and monitor team progress to ensure they are achieved.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners, identifying opportunities for new business and expansion.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and product development, to align sales strategies and ensure effective execution.
  • Analyze market trends, competition, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
  • Develop pricing strategies and negotiate contracts to maximize profitability while maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor sales metrics and prepare regular reports for senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies relevant to sales and incorporate them into the sales strategy.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration, sales and marketing or related field.
  • Advanced degree (MBA, Master's) preferred.
  • 10+ years progressive sales and customer service experience.
  • 8+ years in a leadership role.
  • Routine travel may be required.
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management, and planning skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
Physical Aspects/Work Environment:
