Drive Climate Strategy and Sustainability

Greenly is a pioneering climate tech company that empowers businesses to measure, reduce, and offset their carbon footprint. We're seeking a skilled Climate Strategy Specialist to join our team and contribute to our mission of creating a more sustainable future.

About the Role

As a Climate Strategy Specialist, you will work closely with our clients to develop and implement effective climate strategies, leveraging your expertise in carbon accounting, sustainability, and green technology. Your primary focus will be on supporting German-speaking clients, utilizing your proficiency in German to communicate complex ideas and drive results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement climate strategies for clients, including carbon assessments, client-centered approaches, and innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their unique challenges and structures, providing tailored support to meet their high expectations.
  • Conduct climate roadmaps, build Science-Based Targets (SBTi) assessments, and propose actionable plans to assist clients in fulfilling their sustainability pledges.
  • Support clients in their climate strategy endeavors, leveraging your expertise to drive carbon reduction and sustainability.
  • Communicate findings to executive teams and C-level stakeholders, presenting insights effectively to drive decision-making.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in engineering, technical studies, business school, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in engineering, carbon accounting, climate strategy, or a related field, with a focus on German-speaking clients or environments.
  • Passionate about making a difference in the fight against climate change, with the ability to communicate this passion in German.
  • Enthusiasm for carbon accounting, with a basic understanding of its principles and importance.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to problem-solve and think innovatively.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Python, SQL, or similar database experiences, with the ability to explain their usage in German.
  • Native-like proficiency in German and English (C1 level), with the ability to communicate effectively across languages.
  • Experience in a start-up environment, with a passion for growth, innovation, and dynamic teams.
