About the Role:
We are seeking a talented Data Scientist to join our innovative team at Pathway. Our primary offering is a high-performance Data Processing Framework that integrates both streaming and batch processing, featuring a Python API and a distributed Rust engine. This framework excels in data source integration and transformation at scale, accommodating various data sources such as Kafka, S3, and databases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and interpret complex datasets, particularly focusing on spatio-temporal event streams.
- Design and implement advanced data models, including time-evolving graph structures.
- Develop analytical metrics and KPIs aligned with client objectives, utilizing clustering algorithms and creating visualizations for effective data exploration.
- Create SQL dashboards with Python enhancements to facilitate data insights.
- Support customer conversion and adoption through deployment instances and demonstrations using client datasets.
- Depending on your experience, apply machine learning algorithms to spatio-temporal and geospatial data.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in Data Science or related fields.
- Proficient in Python and SQL, with the ability to work with various data types including arrays and JSON.
- Experience with version control systems, build systems, and CI/CD practices.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of French, Polish, or German is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Demonstrated experience through a portfolio showcasing coding projects, visualizations, or research papers.
- Participation in Data Science competitions such as Kaggle or Codeforces.
- Familiarity with GIS software and tools like Pandas, SciPy, and NetworkX.
- Experience in Data Visualization and User Experience design.

We offer a permanent employment contract with a competitive salary ranging from €50K to €70K for mid-level positions, and up to €60K to €90K for senior roles, along with an employee stock option plan.
