Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Architect to join our team at Alstom. As a Software Architect, you will play a key role in the development of our electronic systems, working closely with our Program Manager to ensure the successful delivery of our projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pilot the development of our electronic systems, ensuring that they meet our quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) commitments.
  • Make technical decisions on the product, arbitrate and validate major technical choices related to software.
  • Define the specifications, software architecture, and testing strategy for our solutions, taking into account functional, operational, and performance requirements.
  • Lead development teams and ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Act as a technical reference point for our teams.
  • Perform all software-related activities, including specification, architecture definition, coding, and testing.
  • Support the maintenance of our software and contribute to technological watch.
  • Ensure technical interface with our customers, technical teams in Villeurbanne, throughout the software development cycle.
  • Apply and ensure compliance with our business processes and standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement (REX, processes, etc.).

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (Bac+5 or equivalent).
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in the design of real-time embedded systems with high criticality (EN 50128, DO-178, etc.).
  • Good synthesis and adaptability skills, with the ability to work in a team, particularly in multicultural and multidisciplinary environments.
  • A strong sense of responsibility, with a focus on transparency and clear communication.
  • Good knowledge of real-time operating systems and Linux, as well as programming languages such as C and ADA.
  • A passion for software, new technologies, and a willingness to work in an agile and multicultural environment.
  • Excellent technical English skills.
