Community Arts Coordinator

Job Overview:

This role focuses on cultural mediation and communication within the context of a community festival. The primary aim is to enhance citizen involvement and cultural appreciation by motivating local individuals to engage with the festival.

• Assist in the planning, facilitation, and communication efforts throughout the festival's organization and execution.
• Develop a comprehensive timeline of events and initiatives for the festival's outreach, mediation, and coordination.
• Oversee the festival's digital communication channels and support overall engagement with festival leadership.
• Help organize media events, press materials, promotional content, and monitor social media interactions.
• Design and implement mediation initiatives targeting educational institutions under the guidance of festival leadership.
• Recruit and oversee a team of volunteers to support festival activities.
• Coordinate the directional signage for garden pathways with volunteers prior to the festival, under the supervision of the festival manager.

The hosting entity is dedicated to promoting popular education, volunteerism, lifelong learning, civic engagement, and solidarity.

Position Requirements:

• 1 volunteer position available.
• Open to individuals under 18.
• Commitment of 24 to 30 hours per week.
• Target Audience: General public, youth, adults, and individuals from marginalized backgrounds.
