We are seeking a highly experienced Telecommunications Engineer to join our team at John Wood Group. As a Senior/Principal Telecommunications Engineer, you will play a key role in defining and implementing the Telecoms scope for our projects.
Key Responsibilities- Project Telecoms Scope Definition: Define project telecoms scope across sites, ensuring compliance with relevant local policies, company technical practices, and national regulations and codes.
- Technical Support and Direction: Provide technical support to Engineering Contractor and Telecoms System Integrator to ensure cost-effective and fit-for-purpose systems are specified, designed, and implemented.
- Performance Management: Performance manage the Main Telecoms Contractor and Engineering Contractor delivery, ensuring timely and within-budget completion of projects.
- Technical Direction and Oversight: Provide technical direction to Engineering Contractor on tie-in, integration, expansion, and adequacy assessment of associated regional project telecom systems.
- Digital Security: Ensure compliance with relevant local policies, company technical practices, and national regulations and codes for Digital security on OCT networks and sub-systems.
- Operational License and Certificate Requirements: Determine operational license and certificate requirements for operated communication solutions.
- Service Line Specification: Specify requirements for OCT service lines and ensure service provider participation during design and execution of projects.
- Education: Degree in Electronics or Telecommunication Engineering.
- Experience: Proven track record of working on FEED, EPC, and PMC projects in the Oil & Gas sector.
- Skills: Advanced knowledge of industry and government standards, experience designing critical telecommunications systems, and experience working in a multidiscipline, multistakeholder environment.
