Actuarial Life Division – Financial Services at AXA Group

The Actuarial Life Division is tasked with the assessment of actuarial reserves according to various standards, including social, IFRS17, and Solvency 2. This division also oversees the modeling within the life actuarial projection tool, which is essential for accurate best estimate calculations under S2 and IFRS17. The life projection model plays a crucial role in evaluating the risks and profitability of our operations, serving as a foundation for all regulatory reporting. It must continuously evolve to meet regulatory updates, accommodate new product launches, or integrate new asset classes, as well as align with new management strategies. Additionally, it is vital to ensure that the model's computation times align with strict production timelines. Regular audits by the ACPR, external auditors, and Group teams may necessitate action plans for remediation.

As a member of the Sunrise Model and Valuation team, you will engage in cross-functional projects supporting all Collective or Individual Life production teams:

  • Implement cross-sectional enhancements to the projection model or related tools: updates to ensure compliance with current regulations, optimize STEC or IFRS17 outcomes, or rectify identified discrepancies.
  • Suggest advancements in modeling within the Sunrise model (C++) or associated tools (Databricks, Power BI): focusing on automation and code enhancements.
  • Facilitate the dissemination of technical expertise within modeling teams through user support and training initiatives.
  • Participate in the migration project to the Cloud as a business expert, ensuring that deployment aligns with production processes and monitoring the successful rollout of new tool functionalities.
  • Contribute to the management of the internal platform for production teams: optimizing resource allocation and overseeing the resolution of tool-related issues.

Collaboration with other departments such as Investments, Information Systems, and external risk or business teams is essential.
