The Role

We're seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our blockchain infrastructure team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for developing and scaling backend applications to enable millions of people to securely benefit from Web3 and process their transactions in the cryptocurrency world.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-performance backend services to power Ledger's products
  • Leverage functional programming with Scala and the Typelevel stack to build robust and scalable platforms and APIs
  • Deploy and maintain a large fleet of blockchain nodes in a scalable fashion
  • Conduct benchmarks to identify bottlenecks and optimize the overall performance of our services
  • Deliver high-quality software with thorough testing, documentation, and demonstration
  • Design monitoring systems to detect unexpected failures/behavior
  • Use CI/CD to deploy and secure workflows
Requirements
  • Knowledge of backend services programming
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL (we use Postgres)
  • Knowledge of Linux operating systems
  • Adaptability to work in a fast-evolving environment with a team
  • Experience with continuous integration/deployment solutions
  • Knowledge of Containerization and Cloud deployments
  • Interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology
  • Enthusiasm for teamwork, learning, and teaching
