Emergency Medicine and Intensive Care Specialist

The Centre Hospitalier Alpes-Léman (CHAL) is a modern healthcare facility, integrated within the Léman Mont-Blanc Territorial Hospital Group.
Situated in the picturesque region of Haute-Savoie, known for its vibrant tourism and outstanding quality of life, the hospital is surrounded by stunning lakes and mountains, conveniently located near ski resorts and an international airport.
Since its inception, CHAL has grown to accommodate over 450 beds and employs a dedicated workforce of more than 2000 professionals, including 325 medical staff, catering to a diverse patient population.
Our MissionThe emergency medical team is organized to provide comprehensive care across adult, geriatric, pediatric, and emergency medical response pathways. The department features:
- 1 Emergency Medical Unit (4 positions available)
- 14 examination rooms (10 for adult care, 4 for versatile cases)
- 2 day emergency response teams
- Daily staffing includes: 2 emergency responders, 1 emergency physician for the unit, and 2 physicians or general practitioners for adult and versatile pathways
- 1 pediatric specialist available 24/7
- 1 geriatric specialist available 5 days a week, with a dedicated team for patients over 75 years old
- 4 night shift physicians: 1 emergency responder, 1 emergency physician for the unit, 1 physician or general practitioner for adult and versatile pathways, and 1 pediatric specialist
The emergency department is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including 2 CT scanners, MRI capabilities, and conventional radiology services.
Newly Established Versatile Intensive Care Unit with a Focus on Cardiology:
The recent addition of 4 versatile intensive care beds, specifically oriented towards cardiology, is managed by voluntary practitioners from the emergency team, dedicating a portion of their time to emergency services.
In this role, the physician will be responsible for patient care and monitoring within both the emergency department and the intensive care unit, as well as supervising interns and junior doctors in training.
Candidate ProfileThis position can be customized to match your qualifications:
- Opportunities for roles as a Hospital Practitioner, Assistant, or Contractual Practitioner (specific position to be determined)
- Certification in Cardiology Intensive Care Unit (support for training and financial coverage available)
- Flexible full-time or part-time arrangements (exact commitment to be discussed)
- Requirement: registration with the National Order of Physicians
