The Protocol & Innovation Team

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Blockchain Engineer to contribute to the development of core blockchain node software, infrastructure, and low-level software for various blockchain networks, including Moonbeam, zkSync, Starkware, and Polkadot. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cryptography, security, networking, game theory, zero-knowledge proofs, finance, and programming language design.

Your Role

As a Senior Blockchain Engineer, you'll work primarily in Rust, with some projects leveraging the Substrate framework. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing to the design of the blockchain protocol and features.
  • Developing key parts of a strongly resilient blockchain runtime.
  • Ensuring code quality and software reliability through automated testing and processes.
  • Participating in automated deployment and operations of multiple blockchain networks.
  • Assisting with the integration of existing tools and services into the blockchain.
  • Supporting developers using the platform on an as-needed basis.
  • Communicating regularly with team members and ecosystem participants.
  • Creating high-quality software documentation and written assets to explain system design and functionality.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of relevant programming experience.
  • Strong experience with Rust, preferably 2+ years.
  • Experience with core client development for crypto or blockchain-based systems is a significant plus.
  • Experience building complex developer tools in the web3 space is a significant plus.
  • Experience with Substrate is ideal.
  • Experience with Solidity/Ethereum/EVM is a plus.
  • Experience with JavaScript and TypeScript is a plus.
