Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer for General Installation to join our team. As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for participating in projects from start to finish, working closely with customers, the team, and suppliers. Your main tasks will include:

Costing Phase

• Participate in responding to calls for tenders specific to general installation: sheet metal work, piping, boiler and pressure equipment, supports, structures, and metal frameworks.

• Research and propose solutions to best respond to calls for tender.

Business Realization Phase

• Participate in launch meetings with customers.

• Ensure that projects run smoothly in accordance with cost estimates.

• Carry out on-site surveys as required.

• Supervise and actively participate in the realization of 3D design projects.

• Integrate technological equipment into projects.

• Supervise and control drawing and bill of materials production.

• Know the regulatory and normative requirements for welded and bolted constructions.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a 5-year degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent, and at least 3 years' experience as an engineer in a Design Office, New Works Office, or equivalent. Ideally, you are familiar with SolidWorks or Autodesk software (Inventor, Autocad Plant3D). You should have good communication and interpersonal skills, a pragmatic profile with a taste for the field, and appreciate autonomy and freedom of action. Your knowledge of industry standards is essential, and your industrial skills are appreciated.

Location and Benefits

The position is full-time and open-ended, located in Toul, near Nancy, in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department (54). It requires occasional travel, mainly to our customers' sites. Your salary will be offered according to your qualifications and experience. This position is open to disabled workers with equal skills.
